Discover the freshness and flavor of Torta Helada, a Peruvian dessert that combines the sweetness of condensed milk with the exotic lucuma. Surprise your guests with this delight!
1 cup fresh or frozen lucuma (or passion fruit) pulp.
1 tablespoon vanilla essence.
200 grams of chocolate cookies.
100 grams of chopped walnuts.
100 grams of grated chocolate.
100 ml of coffee liqueur (optional).
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix the evaporated milk, condensed milk, lucuma or passion fruit pulp and vanilla essence. If desired, you can add the coffee liqueur for an extra touch of flavor.
In another bowl, crush the chocolate cookies into fine crumbs.
In the cake pan, place a layer of parchment paper on the base. This will make it easier to unmold the cake later.
Cover the bottom of the pan with a layer of the crushed cookie crumbs. Press lightly with a spoon to compact it.
Pour a layer of the milk mixture over the cookie crumbs.
Add a layer of chopped nuts and grated chocolate over the milk mixture.
Repeat the process, alternating layers of crushed cookie, milk mixture, nuts and grated chocolate until the mold is full.
Cover the cake with parchment paper and place in the freezer for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Notes
You can customize your Ice Cream Cake by adding fresh fruit such as strawberries or bananas between the layers. You can also experiment with different types of cookies and nuts. For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the coffee liqueur.
